I started putting this idea together a couple of years ago, and life covered it up.
But it kept nagging at me.
Summer evenings have always felt different.
The wheat turns gold. Shadows stretch longer. The noise settles down. The Light gets golden. For a little while, the world slows enough to notice what's been there all along.
That's what these sessions are built around. Not rushing from pose to pose. Not chasing a checklist.
Just spending some time together in a beautiful place and making photographs that feel like summer.
Locations
Every session is scheduled around evening Light and may take place in one of several Southside Virginia locations, including:
Nottoway Falls
Whittles Mill
Local farms
Open fields and meadows
An old mill site
Country roads
Small towns
Other places where the Light decides to linger.

What should we wear?
Simple, comfortable clothing that feels like you. Once we choose a location, I'll be happy to offer suggestions.
What if it rains?
We'll reschedule, if you want. These sessions are built around weather and Light, so flexibility is part of the process. We can also work in the rain.
Can we bring pets?
Often, yes. Just let me know beforehand so we can choose an appropriate location.
Can we choose our own location?
Absolutely. Some of my favorite sessions begin with, "What if we tried this?"
